| House Damaged in Route 14 Truck Crash. |
On 04/21/08 at around 9:40am, the Oaks Corners Fire Department and Phelps Ambulance were dispatched to 610
Route 14 in the Town of Phelps for a report of a large truck that had crashed into a house. The Lyons Fire
Department & Ambulance were also dispatched as there was some confusion as to which township the incident was
in. First arriving units found a Phelps Recycling garbage truck had crashed into the house causing heavy damage.
The driver suffered minor injuries and declined emergency medical care. The Oaks Corners Fire Department
responded with Engine 3211 & Rescue 3271 with a crew of 5 under Asst. Chief Maney. Town of Phelps Code
enforcement also responded to the scene.
